blessed one you give me hope

shining through the fog on a cold summer day

dear friend, how i need you, here
to be by my side as my resilient ray

you’ve given me a brilliant gift, more brilliant than you could know

the knowing that your love stays with me when your body has to go

now with a grateful heart, knowing that we’re not apart,

and knowing that we’re here to change the world

hope by hope

smile soft cause we’re, alive

love protects from our demise

breathe within the earths cocoon, wisdom from within

in order for our butterflies

to completely metamorphosize

its body of the past must first die, so its beauty can arise

rise up with a bit of grit

create life with your fingertips

manifest your dreams and fly away

bridge

wont you realize through space and time you alchemize

the dawn breaking in my eyes with every sweet reprise of your breath

breath is just our spirits way of balancing the night and day

the spiraling yin and yang of universal love, so say…

hope by hope

I’ve never seen my reflection in anyone’s eyes so brilliantly

capturing every facet, You, see all of me

and so consistently

It’s

every time we meet with Each & Every freckle highlighted through the bioluminescence radiating behind each cornea

I feel

complete.

And the way you cradle my potential with every & each word you speak like a mama puma enlisting cubs for Pouncing 101 is also

neat

Oh, how I wish I could write poetry and make love to you simultaneously

In that Moment,

the meditations of my heart spring forth so effortlessly, pulsing in Each & Every cell of me, oozing with the magic you’ve instilled in me simply by

opening your eyes- airtight vessels of soul- and seeing me,

giving way to the opportunity to reflect that magic back to you with the mirrors you’ve polished all for free because, baby, you would never charge a fee for filling me up with your love-

These meditations channel through me in that Moment

but leave soon after

like a newborn never trying to recall the last realm, never knowing how much easier this life would be with past lessons never unlearned, last lessons never having reached the brain in that Moment of conception-

for they lived in the seed of the heart

and that which is you- which is universal love- in me sprouts that seed

unfurling leaves to the sun

breathing life anew into me

and you never do so vicariously and that, brother, is why your alchemy is the potent kind which binds these sacred rhymes to source-

and yet-

you know not yet the force you heed

a force so needed by the mass consciousness-

or lack there of-

bringing the cosmos down & spiraling our last lessons learned in this life back around and up above

and that, brother, is how we pray.

but somehow- when aforementioned sprout from said heart seed hits my lips all I can ever seem to say is

Where did You come from?

even though we both know the answer and revel in reminding one another

“The stars, sister, I come from the stars.”

and I am not surprised as I recognize the glimmer in your primal core because

you look so familiar

I knew I knew you somewhere once before.

sometimes, opening this wide hurts

I forgot how vulnerable I’ve made myself

to the elements, the four directions, the four-legged creatures,

those that swim, those that fly,

those that walk into my life and those that just walk on by

Mother Earth, Father Sky,

I call on you now

nurture me,

nourish me,

soak up my tears when I cry

make the ground fertile with my essence

and I will till your soil

I will breathe into your trees

but promise me that You will breathe back into me

I trust You

I bless You

and from me, expect nothing less than Beingness

present to this moment You have blessed me with

and all that Being

cultivated for the next.

I am a warrior of light-

in training

I will turn this pain into love

in your infinite nameless

Seeking FDA Approval

nearing the end now-

thank god I learned how to breathe a while back

I thought that one would come in handy.

as did this handy-dandy new-fangled typing machine

committing my heart to the page

binding blood with ink-

mama never approved of tatoos

“your body is a temple,” she might quote

I would agree in hopes those words might reverberate while I implore her to come for a walk in the park with me

and stretch

and breathe deep

I wonder

if she would disapprove if my blood-and-ink elixir was FDA approved and hailed by millions as a cure for temptation to desecrate this sacred temple on the couch

in front of the tv

or computer

or both

day in and out

while we continue winding down the road

the road with which I am approaching my end

and with each exhalation-

a new beginning

and a more potent elixir awaiting FDA approval.
